本集中的论文有两个来源：一是英国的Language and Literature、美国的Style和国内的《外国语》上近期发表的论文，二是由中国修辞学会文体学研究会主办、宁波大学外语学院承办的“2010文体学国际研讨会暨第七届全国文体学研讨会”上的宣读论文(经过了作者的精心修改)，后者构成稿源的主体。在这次研讨会上，来自国内外的代表不顾鞍马劳顿，以极大的热情和强烈的兴趣投入大会和分会场研讨。
