　　一个名叫莉兹（索拉·伯奇 Thora Birch 饰）的女孩刚刚经历了人生中最可怕的一段时光，在心理学家菲丽帕（艾伯丝·戴维兹 Embeth Davidtz 饰）的循循善诱下，她终于决定将她的经历公诸于众。在莉兹、麦克（戴斯蒙德·哈灵顿 Desmond Harrington 饰）和马丁（Daniel Brocklebank 饰）这一女两男之间，存在着一段复杂的三角关系，莉兹迷恋麦克，马丁则对莉兹穷追不舍。在一个偶然发现的地下堡垒中，麦克和朋友们决定开一个为期三天的秘密派对，莉兹也加入到了其中。
　　就在年轻人们尽情狂欢之后，他们震惊的发现，地堡的唯一出口被封死了。莉兹认为这是马丁出于嫉妒所为，在经历了一番波折之后，莉兹和麦克终于逃出生天。可是，根据警方的调查，麦克早已经死在了地堡之中，而当警方找到马丁之时，从马丁口中听到的，竟然是一个与莉兹所述截然不同的故事。到底是谁在撒谎？真相又究竟是怎样的呢？
