◎简 介

少年Nigel Slater（弗莱迪·海默 Freddie Highmore 饰）的母亲从来不是个好厨子，连简单的熬汤都不会，一家三口最常 吃的就是土司。当母亲哮喘发作去世以后，父亲只能以罐头食品取代。后来那个精于烹调的清洁工（海伦娜·邦汉·卡特 Helena Bonham Carter 饰）借此抓住了父亲的胃，变成了他的继母。日益增长的敌意让Nigel选择参加了家政班，学习制作各种甜食，来挑战这个厨艺精湛的继母。父亲每天都要忍受两人不断的吵闹，并被强迫吃掉两个相继制作的没完没了的甜点。二人间的战争终于在父亲的猝死后停止。17岁的Nigel收拾行囊，在厨房中找到工作，登入了超凡厨艺的辉煌殿堂。
