◎简　　介

　　罗伯特（多格雷·斯科特 Dougray Scott 饰）是一名新闻记者，为了撰写关于约瑟玛利亚（查理·考克斯 Charlie Cox 饰）的专题报道而对其身世展开了调查。让罗伯特没有想到的是，约瑟玛利亚和自己的父亲马奥洛（韦斯·本特利 Wes Bentley 饰）是青梅竹马的好友，两人甚至曾经在同一家神学院上过学。
　　理想上的分歧让这对曾经拥有坚实友谊的朋友走上了分道扬镳的道路。拥有坚贞信仰的约瑟玛利亚选择将自己的一切奉献给万能的主，而马奥洛却无法对身陷在苦难中的国家坐视不管，毅然决然的走上的战场，两人就此再无联系。之后，马奥洛邂逅了美丽的女战士艾迪克（欧嘉·柯瑞兰寇 Olga Kurylenko 饰）。
