　　Winnetou是德国小说家 卡尔·梅 （Karl May）笔下的一个虚构的美国原住民英雄形象。此英雄人物被拍成多部电影。   
      阿帕奇部落是最早开始在美国西部草原上游牧生活的印第安原住民，但他们千百年来赖以生存的领地，正逐渐被白种人残酷地侵吞蚕食。当时，大西部铁路公司正在修建铁路，尽管他们的线路铺设尽量避开印第安土著居民。但是作为铁路所有者之一的桑特为了节约开支，不择手段地强迫线路改道，让这条铁路径直穿越了阿帕奇大地。一位火车机师带着他的资料证据专程从东海岸赶来，想要阻止铁路改道。但是这次矛盾最终演变成一场双方之间的暴力斗争，而他本人也以Old Shatterhand的名号为大家所熟知。他试图与阿帕奇部落以及他们年轻的首领Winnetou进行和平谈判，但是桑特却杀害了他们老一辈的族长，并且还逮捕了Winnetou。
     Shatterhand决定要去解救Winnetou，还要阻止桑特在阿帕奇大地上发动全面战争……
