Roni Horn's art is heterogeneous. It calls upon language,photography, drawing, and object-making. Her work is hard to know. While on the surface it appears self-evident- a steel object, a block of optical glass, or primal shapes on paper-- it is anything but straight-forward. Horn's art is dense and self-contained. Like a black hole, nothing escapes its force or her attention.Each work is its own experience. Each work is process and experience accrued.
