世界中国学论坛是一个高层次、全方位、开放性的学术性论坛。论坛旨在为海内外中国学研究界提供对话渠道和交流平台，反映中国学研究的动态与趋势。第五届世界中国学论坛于2013年3月23至24日在上海展览中心举行。本届论坛的主题是“中国现代化：道路与前景”，各领域、各学科的中外专家学者和意见领袖，共论国际化大背景下中国的发展及与世界的互动相处之道；探讨十八大后未来中国与世界的共融相济、合作发展；增进国际社会对我基本国情、价值观念、发展道路、内外政策的认识和理解。上海社会科学院世界中国学研究所编著的《中国道路与前景(第五届世界中国学论坛实录)(英文版)》编集了本届论坛的主要议程和发言讨论。
